BRIEF INTRODUCTION

The 4th International Conference on Power Engineering (ICPE 2023) took place in Macau, China from December 11-13, 2023. Sponsored by IEEE, Macau University of Science and Technology, University of Electronic Science and Technology of China, Science and Engineering Institute, and IEEE Macau. The conference has patrons such as University of Quebec at Trois-Rivieres, Haribin Institue of Technology(Shenzhen), Politecnico di Milano, Kunming University of Science and Technology, Northeastern University, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, University of Ferrara, Horus University-Egypt, and others. 
2023年第四届电力工程国际会议 (ICPE 2024) 于2023年12月11日至13日在中国澳门成功举行。 本次会议由IEEE、澳门科技大学、电子科技大学、科学工程协会、IEEE澳门联合主办，魁北克三河大学、哈尔滨工业大学、米兰理工大学、昆明理工大学、东北大学、曼苏拉大学、费拉拉大学、埃及荷鲁斯大学等支持。会议以推动电力工程应用，展示电力工程新技术为导向，通过在线或面对面交流的形式，搭建交流合作平台

The conference has received more than 200 submissions, after several rounds reviewing from review committees, there are about 80 papers accepted for presentations, and there are 9 oral sessions and one poster session. The topics including model simulation and data analysis in power systems, stability analysis and control of new power systems, safety and anomaly detection of power transmission lines, electrical faults, condition monitoring and safety assessment in power systems, circuit design and electrical data analysis in power electronic systems, energy loss and heat detection in power electronic systems, intelligent power equipment control and status monitoring, power system load forecasting and power station construction, optimization and scheduling of integrated energy systems and control models, parameter optimization, and reliability evaluation in power systems. This year, after discussion of the organizing committee, two young scientist and two best papers were awarded. They are:
